When ever I ask people about empowerment, everyone seems to know what it is, but when I did a little deeper into what does it mean, how do you implement it, that’s when things start to get a little bit sketchier.
There is a very big difference between knowing and understanding something. I know this from personal experience because for years I knew about Empowerment, but I never really fully understood it.
It’s only when you truly understand something that you can fully benefit from it.
That moment came to me, not from reading a book, but from working for a leader who not only understood empowerment, but he also knew how to communicate it to other people in a way that would increase their understanding too.
When we understand empowerment it helps us to be able to better implement it and create empowered teams which will help us achieve better results.
