Yesterday I spoke on FAST Leadership at AIESEC MENARA TALKS: Inspiring Youth to Act. in Marrakech
I’d just like to say a huge thank you for everyone who attended and made me feel very welcome.
The energy and passion that was in the room was immense, it was a fantastic meeting, with great presentations from all the speakers.
One thing that I really admired was the diversity, it was amazing seeing different presenters some of who presented in dual language, Arabic and English, or even three languages Arabic, French and English.
I think the most amazing was the presentation from Matthias who is German, lives in Istanbul, but chose to present in French. His French was not perfect, but he did a great job and received great support from the audience, which was a very nice gesture.
I came away from the meeting inspired.
Often when you meet young people there is an air of expectation and sometimes even entitlement.
But the atmosphere in this meeting was one of if we want things to change then we are the ones who need to change it.
Don’t wait for someone else to do it, step up and act now, which is the true essence of leadership.
