Inspire Their Hearts, Not Their Minds

head v heart

When we look to inspire people, it is their hearts that we must capture, not the minds.

It is their passions that we must ignite, not their thoughts.

When we look to inspire people, we look to give them the belief that they can do something that previously they thought impossible.

Focusing on their minds will only allow them to convince themselves that they were right, it isn’t possible.

Once we have captured their heart and given them the belief: it is their heart that will tell them to continue, when the common sense thing would be to stop; it is their heart that will fuel the desire to go that extra mile; it is their heart that will retain the desire to succeed.

When we inspire people we need to redefine their beliefs, create an image of success, a feeling of what success will be like.

If we can ignite peoples passions their is no limit to what they can achieve.

Once we have captured their hearts and created this image, their minds will follow.

We need their minds to come up with the plan, the approach, to deliver success.

But it all starts with the heart.
