So much truth in two sentences. You are right, Gordon. Every leader, in fact, every person considering making a program, should remember these words, or else funds, efforts, and time will just go to waste.
IT’s amazing how often people just don’t see that and take the short term view and potentially waste the good work that that have done.
In my experience, people sometimes overestimate and overthink the projects that is on their plate resulting in a not so good results. Most of the times, simple is preferred but we must also learn when is the best time to take risks.
Taking calculated risks versus being foolhardy 🙂
