Tunisia

After having spent a week in Tunisia, I can honestly say I love the place, it’s beautiful, great history and the people are extremely friendly.

Nothing was too much trouble, people went out of their way to help us, often just for the pleasure of helping us.

Carine and I had a great tour of the old Medina with Monia, who just wanted to share with us the beautiful Medina and wanted to be sure that we saw the best it had to offer.

As with many countries we have visited in North Africa, one small act of kindness or generosity, is returned manyfold.

Interestingly, unlike some of the places we have lived, people in Tunisia love to talk to you, to tell you about themselves, their story and to find out more about you, which is something that we have missed over the last few years.

It does feel that there is a lot of potential in Tunisia and that people are looking for positive change and a brighter future, and there does seem to be a strong desire to create that future.

We did have a couple of meetings about providing Leadership Training, but we will have to wait to see how that progresses, there is interest on both sides, but interest doesn’t always turn into results.

I would love to give a course here on Inspiring Leadership as I do think it would be very beneficial.

It’s amazing what we can do with the right vision, belief and self-confidence.

If you ever get the chance to visit Tunisia I would fully recommend it.

I have included this slideshow of some of the places we have visited, and hopefully will get to visit again in the not too distant future.
