One of the biggest challenges for leaders is when they need to get their teams to commit to delivering against tight deadlines, where the teams might not be confident of success.
The easy option is to water down the goals, to refuse to commit or to just declare it’s not possible and choose to quit.
Leadership can be about holding firm in the face of adversity, getting the teams to step up and to commit to at least try to achieve the goal.
